Double Door Bobcaygeon Outdoor Sheds in Ontario
The most popular sizes ordered by our customers are the 8x6, 8x8, 10x8 or 12x10 models. Many other standard sizes are available for this storage outdoor shed as well as custom sizes.
Our basic model comes complete with 14" x 27" windows, 48” solid double doors (option to upgrade to 60”), trim, and a dormer on the roof with its own window. Architectural shingles in black or brown are included with the installation.
Description
The word Bobcaygeon stirs up thoughts of cottage living, starry nights and outdoor campfires. This is what happens when the Bobcaygeon shed becomes part of your backyard landscape. It is similar to our Haliburton Cottage but with an added dormer. This attractive dormer provides lift to the overall appearance and allows light to enter the shed.
This model brings an upscale cottage feel to your backyard or outdoor space. It is very popular for outdoor living and entertaining. Especially when enhanced with added accessories like a window, window shutters and flower boxes. Then with windows added into the solid doors, the look is complete. Customers ordered this as a “Man Cave” with custom modifications and as a “She Shed” for a quiet oasis. The Bobcaygeon can be found in many Southern Ontario regions such as Mississauga, Brampton, Oakville, Guelph, London, and St. Catharines.
Our all-wood shed construction consists of 2×4 spruce wall studs with 24” centres and 2×6 pressure treated floor joists, 16” on centre, with 5/8” tongue and groove OSB flooring. The walls are built with LP SmartSide which is an engineered wood product and comes already primed in a neutral colour.
LP SmartSide siding products are treated using a proprietary process. This process adds strength and helps the product to withstand impacts, freeze/thaw cycle, high humidity, fungal decay, and termites. Much of the trim is unprimed and will require painting
Roof trusses are manufactured at our facility. Depending on the shed size, we can have them Engineer approved and stamped in order to be compliant with local building codes.
All sheds are installed the same day with a block and gravel foundation if there is no existing concrete pad. Architectural shingles are available in black or brown and come with a 25-year manufacturer’s warranty.
Many upgrade options are available such as upgrading the floorboards from 5/8” OSB to 5/8” pressure treated plywood. Floor upgrades ensure longevity and greater protection from wear and tear due to excessive use. Some other additional upgrades and accessories available are windows in the doors, a workbench, fold up table, tool rack and, solar lights. The list goes on.
