We offer 6 standard outdoor wooden shed styles, however they can be fully customized to suit your specific needs. The most popular sizes customers choose are the 10x8, 12x8 or 10x10 shed, however any size can be accommodated for all our standard outdoor garden sheds. Depending on your municipality, a permit may be required for outdoor garden sheds that are greater than 160 square feet.

With proper care and maintenance, wooden garden sheds should last anywhere from 20 to 30 years or more. At ITBY, we use materials that have been tested to withstand many different weather conditions.
Are wooden sheds waterproof?
The quick and simple answer is no; wooden garden sheds are not waterproof. But it doesn't imply you should exclude them from your shed search. A wooden garden shed can still be a great addition and last many years as long as they’re kept protected from rain or other sources of moisture as much as possible.
How do I keep my wood shed from rotting?
Using gutters and downpipes can keep moisture draining away from the building's exterior. Make sure downpipes are positioned to divert the rain away from the walls and foundation of the shed. Using a rain barrel to collect the rain is another option and can be useful in providing water for your gardens. The goal is to keep water from dripping down the sides of the shed where it can seep below or pool against your shed.
Also, if planting a garden or shrubs around the exterior of a shed, make sure to plant away from the sides to prevent soil from resting against the walls. This will prevent moisture buildup at the base of the shed and prevent it from seeping into the wood.
How long does it take to build a wooden shed?
Building a garden shed from scratch is quite an extensive experience. It is a project that can last anywhere from a few days to many weeks. It all depends on your requirements, the size and the intricacies of the shed. Does the shed come with a floor?
Many garden sheds include a floor; however, sometimes, if there is an existing concrete pad, the shed will be installed using the concrete base as the floor. If there is no existing concrete base then there must be some sort of foundation, usually a block and gravel foundation, since a shed floor should not be laying directly on the ground.
